How to search contacts on Telegram
Let's start by seeing how to find a person on telegram by phone number.
He opened his Telegram Android o iPhone / iPad, start the app of the famous messaging service and go to the screen Contacts: on Android you can find it by pressing the ☰ button, on iOS and iPadOS in the menu below. In the new screen that appears, select the contact of your interest from the list that is shown to you and you can immediately start the conversation.
If you can't find a person in the list, you can change the way the list is sorted by pressing the top button (☰ on Android and Order on iPhone/iPad): you will then be able to choose whether to sort your contacts by last seen (which is the default) or by name.
If, on the other hand, you prefer to perform a direct search or want to perform a global search (i.e. also searching among people not included in your contact list), press the button with the magnifying glass (always at the top) and type the name of the person you are interested in in the appropriate field that appears. Then, select the correct match from the list and you're done.
If following the instructions I have just provided you cannot view any of your contacts, it is because you need to grant Telegram permission to access the address book. To make it up Androidgo to the menu ☰ > Settings > Privacy and security e carries his ON the switch located next to the item Synchronize contacts at the section Contacts. How to search for people on Telegram without number
This is provided that that person has used their original first and last name for the profile, otherwise these criteria will not apply. To use this search method, all you have to do is open Telegram and use the search bar which is located at the top.
Here, write precisely the data you have on the person in question and see what comes out in the results. If you're not sure what the subject used, then this route is easily fallacious as anyone can create an account using these monikers, both a namesake and a person who wants to take possession of that identity. There is also a username that Telegram assigns by default to all users and that you can see by clicking on the profile icon, but it is a data that the subject himself must communicate to you or that you can only discover after having already found it.
If you are looking for one famous person above, then make sure his profile has the blue check verification of the identity to the right (not always visible on the desktop) and, perhaps, also the wording “official”. Again though, be careful, because they are there Fraudsters who have their profile checked and then change their name to get the check and pass themselves off as someone else. On Telegram it is easy to fall into scams of all kinds precisely because of fake profiles, so always keep your guard up.
How to find close people on Telegram
Did you know that with Telegram it is possible find people who are nearby, thus having the opportunity to chat with strangers in search of new friendships. Not only that, in addition to individuals, there is also a section dedicated to active groups nearby, to look for new interests and ideas.
To access this function, all you have to do is open the app and tap on the three lines at the top left and then select the item Close people in case you are operating from Android or PC. If you are from an iOS terminal, then you have to go to the bottom bar, select the item Chat: and then tap on Find people close to you to go to search.
In both cases, a list will open with all the people nearby at the top and, scrolling down, the groups available in the area. Once you get here though, you still can't be found by others so, to make yourself visible, tap on the item Make me visible and wait for someone to contact you.
Obviously, for everything to work properly, you must have location services active on your smartphone and have allowed Telegram to access them.
How to find new friends on Telegram
In addition to the function that allows you to be found and find new friends nearby that I explained in the previous paragraph, there are other ways to find new friends on Telegram. The simplest one isjoin groups related to a certain interest (video games, sports, culture and so on) and then chat with the participants.
Telegram groups are endless, with some that work more like news list (where only the administrator can post) and others that are chat rooms open to everyone. With a little initiative and just the right amount of friendliness, it's really easy for you to make new friends here.
