Kosta Eleftheriou, the developer of FlickType for Apple Watch and the one who discovered several "scam" apps on the App Store, has released the new Nanogram Messenger app.
Nanogram Messenger was born as alternative to the official Telegram app for Apple Watch, a version that has many limitations and has been criticized by many users since, for example, it doesn't work independently from the iPhone. This means that even those who own an Apple Watch Cellular will only be able to use Telegram if there is a paired iPhone nearby.
Nanogram aims to fill the gaps of Telegram on Apple Watch, by providing a complete and native experience directly on the smartwatch. For example, Nanogram allows you to view, send and receive Telegram messages directly from your Apple Watch, whether or not an iPhone is nearby. In practice, you will be able to stay connected with all Telegram channels and chats even if you are out and about without an iPhone, but with only the Apple Watch.
Plus, Nanogram also supports the FlickType swipe keyboard, so you can send faster replies on the go.
With regard to the privacy, Eleftheriou says that Nanogram communicates directly with Telegram using the official SDK and does not collect any information.
The app is available for free on the App Store.
