Vaporum: Lockdown it's a RPG of type dungeon crawler (so with first person view and movement / turn-based combat or half-turn and real time) with a setting steampunk. It is the prequel to vapors, game by the same developer, belonging to the same genre and released in the 2017.
The game was out for PC a September 2020 and is currently available on Nintendo e-Shop at the price of 19.79 €with one 10% discount compared to the original price, which will be valid until March 28.

Vaporum: Lockdown is the prequel to vapors and it is a RPG Dungeon Crawler with “grid” movements, set in a scenario steampunk and inspired by old-school classics of this genre (like the old ones Eye of the Beholder I and II or the most recent Legend of Grimrock I and II). We will follow the story of Ellie Teller, who is trying to survive the disastrous events that occurred in the tower of Arx Vaporum.
Ellie is a scientist, who participated in a mysterious research project underway in the middle of the ocean. Following a catastrophe, he is now trying to save his own life e escape from the tower.
The fight it is in real time, but there is a special and peculiar mode of "temporal interruption" (similar to a tactical break, but slightly different). Levels are packed with puzzles and sub-goals to be completed in order to overcome them and continue the adventure. The game provides an inventory, a looting system and all customization options typical of an RPG.
On its way, Ellie will meet numerous, treacherous enemies, with unique skills and each with his moves and attack pattern. To defeat them, he will have to employ un vast arsenal of weapons, gadgets, upgrades and specific tactics. Fortunately, there are plenty of trinkets to make life easier. Many different types of weaponry, each with its own characteristics and methods of use, parts of armor which can confer effects in synergy with each other, gadgets that allow you to summon an army of underlings or manipulate the battlefield, enhancers and much more.
There will be many types of puzzles to solve e dangers to survive, exploiting elements that will test both the player's ingenuity and his reflexes. General history will require you to find the solution to a main problem, to solve which we need "pieces" that are scattered across all levels of the game. Dialogues, audio and written notes will provide valuable information about the world and its inhabitants.
