The latest trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, Launching July 9, 2021 on Nintendo Switch, it offered tantalizing plot details: a first look at two characters already featured in Monster Hunter Stories, a brief overview of the strategic overhaul of the turn-based combat system, and more. Furthermore, the digital event revealed that the first free title update to Monster hunter rise will arrive later this night and will include a host of new monsters for hunters in battle, new gear to craft, the ability to forge armor styles and unlock the limit for Hunter Rank.
In the latest trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, fans were able to admire high-quality images of the incredible friends Monstie, competing factions and the epic story of the game. After taking on the role of a young Monster Rider who can use a Bond Stone to form strong relationships with monsters, players will meet Lilia and Reverto, who will return from Monster Hunter Stories. The two are on a mission to capture your friend Ratha Sharp before he can awaken his destructive power foretold in the Wings of Doom prophecy. At their heels is a group of hunters and knights who try to capture Ratha Sharp for their nefarious purposes. More details will be revealed soon on how these characters interact with the previously announced cast and the player's journey to save his friend or the world.
After the new trailer dedicated to Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, the Monster Hunter Digital Event provided the first details on the strategic elements behind turn-based combat in the game. While the three attack types Power, Speed, and Technical return from Monster Hunter Stories, aspiring Monster Riders must also be able to master the use of the correct type of weapon, element and skill to overcome increasingly massive threats. By learning the fighting style of individual monsters, players can counter incoming attacks by selecting the correct attack type. Additionally, they can stop enemy monsters by targeting and hitting specific body parts, as well as teaming up with their Monsties to perform powerful double attacks. Knights can also join forces with their Monsties and other Battlemates to unleash devastating Binding Attacks that can change the flow of battle.
During the event, the players of Monster hunter rise they also got a taste of the variety of monsters included in the game's first free update, which will be available to all players later today. In addition to the stormy arrival of the Elder Dragon Kushala Daora, Teostra, and the previously announced Chameleos, players will also be able to compete with Apex Diablos and Apex Rathalos. As part of the update, previously released Apex monsters can be challenged outside of Fury missions, Magnamalo will join the rotation of Fury missions, players will be able to forge Armor Styles, and the limit for the Hunter Rank will come unlocked when certain conditions are met. New event missions will also be released after the title update and, once downloaded, can be played offline at any time. Fashionable hunters will also be able to purchase new cosmetic DLCs that include new voice options, sticker sets, gestures, Armor Styles for your friends, and more!
Pre-orders for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin for Nintendo Switch are now open and include access to Ena's uniform: Kamura Maiden Dress. As part of the crossover content for both titles, players who link their save data from Monster hunter rise will receive the rider's armor style for their hunter in that game, while the Monstie Riders will be able to access the Rider's armor style: Kamura's Suit in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. Finally, today's Monster Hunter digital event provided the first details of what gamers of Monster hunter rise can expect in the second free update of the title, which will be released in late May, and which will include more monsters, a new story that ends after the current conclusion of the game and more.
