After numerous postponements e a very successful demo published this year, Outriders is finally out in full version. Although at first glance it may seem yet another online game based on classes with an action-RPG structure (similar to Destiny 2), actually the approach of People Can Fly it was slightly different. Outriders aims to be a complete experience from day one, without relying heavily on online elements like many modern games do.
The game offers four different classes to choose from, a truckload of items to find, regions of the world at different "degrees of difficulty" to explore e an endgame that doesn't fully unlock until you complete the single player campaign.
Outriders aims to stand perfectly on its legs without having to rely on the numerous contents and expansions destined to come out later. In providing right away a complete experience to the players, Outriders boasts a wide range of customization options and the system of commendations.
Outriders: Commendation system
Il system of commendations is one of the peculiarities of Outriders. Here's what you need to know about it.
You have to think of a commendation as something much like a trophy or a goal. Except that, instead of being recognized outside the game, the commendations represent an "x-ray" of the gods progress the player is making inside Outriders. There are numerous categories, which include for example kills made with a certain type of weapon, progress in the story, specific rewards for the various classes, hunts on specific enemies and much more. By obtaining the individual commendations, the player can raise the overall Commendation level of your account.
Most of the commendations have various "stages", with gradually increasing requirements to be unlocked and some provide specific rewards for reaching some "halfway points". For example, the commendation for the killing of enemies by taking aim it starts at 250 and continues up to 2500 to reach the maximum stage.
In total Outriders provides 91 commendations for combat, 70 for story, 48 for enemies, 17 for teamwork, 82 for inventory management and 42 specific to individual classes.
Level of General Commendation
In addition to the rewards related to specific commendations, Outriders provides some also for the progress of the level of General Commendation. This score is cumulative and applies to the entire account, with every character created. With each new level of General Commendation reached, the player unlocks new rewards which can be banners, emotes and special paint for the Convoy. At higher levels they correspond rewards with a higher degree of rarity.
Some rewards require a specific individual level of Commendation, in addition to the general account level, to be unlocked. For example, the materials for level one banners and the greeting emoticon will not be unlocked until 10 commendations are earned with the individual character and on the account in general. Until the achievement of the level 17, the level of individual Commendation required remains at 10, while Overall Cumulative Commendation level requirement increases by 10 to 10. For example, at level 3, the player will need to complete 20 commendations to unlock related rewards.
The maximum Commendation level expected is 22 and requires 20 individual commendations (i.e. on the single character) e 250 unlocked across the entire account. A somewhat demanding path, but it could be worth it: in fact there are rewards a epic rarity, such as the “Bulldozer” convoy, the “Look of the Raptor” banner, Pattern 16 and the “No Friend No Problem” emote.
Outriders is available from yesterday for for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S e Google Stadia. More information can be found on the Official site.
