In the press conference that Sony held at the CES 2013 (Consumer Electronic Show is one of the last major internationally renowned trade fairs) the two new smartphones that should be released in March 2013 have been made official: Xperia Z (Yuga) ed Xperia ZL (Odin).
The two smartphones both have an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, the Sony Xperia Z it has a 5-inch 1080p display, a quad-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.5 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, LTE connectivity, an NFC module and a slot for microSD memory cards. The integrated (therefore non-removable) 2330 mAh battery features the mode Stamina, which when the device panel is turned off, closes all applications, allowing a longer duration.
The camera features the new 13 megapixel Exmos RS sensor and allows the HDR video recording and 10fps burst shots a 9 megapixel. The Sony Xperia Z is also certified IP57, it is therefore resistant to dust and waterproof, thanks to its unibody design which with glass panels and plastic strips guarantee excellent coverage
THEXpedia ZL has the same features as the Xperia Z except that it features a slightly more powerful battery, from 2370 mAh, it is not certified IP57 and has a slightly different design.
