OnePlus Watch: 159 € and a battery that lasts 14 days.

The OnePlus Watch sounds too good to be true. Sleek design, advanced health and battery features that make Apple Watch and all other Android wearables pale.

Finally the company of Pete Lau presented its first smartwatch for Android, with an elegant and sporty design at the same time although in a single 46mm format. The OnePlus Watch smartwatch looks a lot like the Galaxy Watch Active 2, but with small differences: OP Watch it has a slimmer display and body than Samsung's, which instead are more "rounded" and make them look a little clunky. This makes it elegant, while its light weight and smart features make it a good companion for sports activities.

The dial is round, with an AMOLED touchscreen and a couple of buttons on the side of the stainless steel frame, the straps are interchangeable and can be replaced with third-party alternatives.

The smart part is all there ... but the memory is low

OnePlus Watch does everything you'd expect: it displays and responds to notifications, makes and answers phone calls, plays music and functions as a remote control for your smartphone camera or your OnePlus TV. Too bad, however, that it does not have compatibility with apps such as Spotify or the like, and that only 2GB of memory is just enough for music to be listened to with paired bluetooth headsets, if you don't want to carry your smartphone with you.

For now it is only compatible with OnePlus and other Android phones, but the company says iOS support will come soon.

The smartwatch also performs basic fitness tracking, with well over 110 different types of workouts to choose from, and automatically records your runs whether or not you have your smartphone with you. It has built-in GPS and an IP68 rating of 5ATM, making it safe for swimming tracking. It can also measure SpO2 (blood oxygen levels), stress levels and report altered heart rates.

The other big selling point, besides a crazy price of only 159 euros, is the battery life. The first tests carried out by the lucky owners have shown that it does not really reach the 14 days declared by the company, but well exceeds the week, so it is a thousand miles ahead of the Galaxy Watch 3 and Apple Watch, which barely reach the 48-hour milestone.

The watch also recharges quickly: you can get a full day of five minutes charge on the charger or wait 20 minutes for a week of charging.

One Plus Watch is already available for booking on Amazon at a price of 159 euros, while the release date is scheduled for April 30, 2021.
