Nokia announces the N76 its first ultra-thin clamshell: has the design of the Finnish house changed direction?
Nokia also become superslim
With the announcement at CES in Las Vegas of the new Nokia N76, Nokia's first ultra-thin clamshell, the Finnish company may finally have decided to change the style of its terminals. Until now, Nokia had accustomed us to cell phones of not exactly small size and with the series the dimensions had increased dramatically; certainly the functions of a mobile phone like the N93 are incredible but carrying around a 118,2 × 55,5 × 28,2 mm deal is not really a joke unless you go around with a nice briefcase.
The N76 could therefore mark a new course, its dimensions are in fact very small, in line with those of other bestsellers from other manufacturers, among all the motorola of the RAZR family: 13,6mm.
Other notable features: Quadband UMTS / EDGE, QVGA 2.4 ″ display with 16 million colors, 2mpx camera, 20mb of internal memory expandable with mini sd, Symbian S60 3rd edition operating system.
The release is scheduled for the first quarter of 2007 and the list price is 390 euros. Available in black and red.
