New options and services complement the WD TV Live ™ and WD TV Live Hub product offering for all-round entertainment
Milan, June 5, 2102 - Western Digital® (NYSE: WDC), a world leader in external storage solutions and manufacturer of the renowned WD TV® family of media players, has announced a series of new entertainment options to add to the offering WD TV Live ™ and WD TV Live Hub ™ media players. New services available, and globally, include Red Bull TV, ABC iView, Acetrax ™, and AOL HD. You can also watch live or record from TV with the new SlingPlayer ™ application which allows you to save premium HD movies directly to the WD TV Live Hub hard drive via the VUDU ™ download service.
The new entertainment options add to the WD TV media family many exciting possibilities for enjoying personal content such as videos, photos and music supporting a wide range of multimedia formats. Users can watch localized content on any PC or Mac® on the home network, on a network drive such as the WD My Book® Live ™ for personal cloud storage, and on digital camcorders, cameras, or other connected USB devices. WD TV Live Hub customers can also save and share pictures and videos while on the go, using the WD Photos app for iPhone, iPad and Android mobile devices.
The WD TV Live Hub is the only media player that offers direct download of HD movies of the moment through VUDU's large offering of movies and TV shows. Thanks to the integrated 1TB hard drive, the WD TV Live Hub can save and play digital content purchased from VUDU, including the high quality 1080p Full HD HDX ™ video format and Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 audio format.
