Signify, the new name of the Philips Lighting division dedicated to lighting, today announced the arrival on the market of an interesting product for home entertainment: Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box.
It is a small box that, by connecting to your television via the supplied cable and to any HDMI device, regardless of whether it is a streaming device, satellite decoder, game console, Blu-Ray player, is able to synchronize the lighting of your RGB Hue lamp system to the images (and colors) transmitted on the screen.
In essence, this is something very similar to what Philips Ambilight TVs have been doing for years, but with the advantage that with Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box the advantages of Ambilight, consisting mainly in greater immersion of the scenes, are combined with existing home cinema environments.
