Players will be able to enjoy the NieR: Automata outfits, weapons and soundtrack for free
Today SQUARE ENIX has unveiled a lot of additional content for NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 ..., the modern reconstruction of the cult classic NieR Replicant, which will delight fans of the series and new players alike. This updated version of the game will not only be more accessible to the modern audience thanks to fully remastered graphics, a re-recorded soundtrack and new dialogue voices, but will also include, among other things, new story content, dungeons and complete sets. (including various weapons and outfits based on NieR: Automata) and the option to listen to the soundtrack of NieR: Automata.
These are the additional content the game will include at launch:
- Extra Episode: players will be able to discover a new story and an exciting boss battle during their game, within the new episode of the siren that stars a shipwrecked ship and a young girl.
- Additional "World of Recycled Envelope" dungeons: in this DLC previously released only in Japan, and also known as “15 Nightmares”, fans will be able to test themselves in a series of challenging dungeons as the protagonist. By completing the dungeons, you will get additional weapons and outfits, such as "Kabuki" and "Samurai". It will also be possible to change the appearance of enemy bullets on Emil's face in the options menu after obtaining any of these outfits.
- Soundtrack from NieR: Automata: after completing the first game, an option will unlock to change the background music to songs from the acclaimed NieR: Automata soundtrack.
- Cast of actors from NieR: Automata: the actors who lend their voices to 2B and 9S in English and Japanese also worked on this game.
In addition to the outfits that are obtained in the "World of Recycled Envelope", at the release of the game it will be possible to download a package of outfits called "4 YoRHa" for free, with which players will be able to use the outfits and weapons of their favorite characters of NieR: Automata, including 9S, 2B and A2.
SQUARE ENIX also released a 15-second live-action commercial over the weekend titled “NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… | CM | Shinjuku ver.0.25 | 2nd “, with a ruined city overrun by enemy shadows.
The pre-order bonuses and playlist included in the mini soundtrack were also announced recently. The mini soundtrack includes three tracks from disc 1 of the White Snow Edition soundtrack: “Hills of Radiant Wind”, “Song of the Ancients” and “Kainé”. These are the extra content specific to each platform:
- PlayStation 4: all editions will include an exclusive dynamic theme and avatar set for PlayStation 4. Pre-orders will also include the mini soundtrack in digital format.
- Xbox One: pre-orders will also include the mini soundtrack in digital format. *
- Steam: all editions will include a special collection of wallpapers. The pre-orders will also include the mini soundtrack in digital format.
* Xbox One users can play the mini soundtrack in-game only through a specific app. Music data cannot be extracted outside the console.
NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One (including Xbox One X) and PC (Steam) on April 23, 2021.
