How can you be sure that you have been blocked?
To find out who blocked us, one can easily resort to sane options.
The first thing to do, if you are familiar with the person you theoretically suspect has blocked you is to ask them directly. The blocking could have been an error, or a reaction to certain unwelcome events that occurred previously. In case you don't want to ask directly, here's how to make sure you've been blocked or not.
- Search for the profile in the social search bar. If it does not appear in the profiles, here is a first alarm bell.
- If we notice that posts and stories from this profile have not appeared in our feed for some time, here is a second alarm bell.
- Try to double check with another account – be careful – not a fake, but the account of another real person you can ask the favor of doing a check. The fake account, we recall and reiterate it, contrary to their wide diffusion, they are an illegal practice which can be referred to the crime of impersonation, as the blog "Legal Digital" recalls.
Once the lawful checks have been completed and we have observed that our profile has been restricted by another account, we just have to take note of it and possibly talk about it with the person who owns the profile involved.
