Fear changes direction.
Almost two months ago Five Nights at Freddy's 4 was released, precisely the fourth installment of the now famous horror series that has divided critics around the world. When asked about a possible arrival of Five Nights at Freddy's 5, franchise creator Scott Cawthon said he has no plans to make a fifth episode.
Following this, however, Cawthon revealed via a Steam post that he was working on an RPG called FNAF World, which will not have horror traits but will allow players to "create their own story" by impersonating the various characters of the Five Nights at Freddy's series.
"The only bad news is that I will most likely not be able to make a playable demo available in time for Halloween as I had hoped, as FNAF World takes a lot longer to develop than other games," said Cawthon.
The title will probably debut in early 2016 on PC, iOS and Android.
