At the end of 2012 the new version of BlogEngine.net 2.7 (used by Inform @ rea), available and downloadable for those who install BlogEngine for the first time, while for those who need to update the old version of BlogEngine.net to the new one, you can follow the update instructions on the Codeplex website: Upgrading to BlogEngine.NET 2.7.
BlogEngine.net 2.7 offers two major improvements:
- Greater security
- URL without extension
In this new version a patch of protection and bug fixes present in the old versions it gives greater stability e safety to your site.
The option with URLs without extension will allow you to instead remove extensions Aspx files in the URL of your posts, pages, category pages and static pages (contact, storage and search).
The other additions that you will find in this new version are:
- Upgrade to jQuery 1.8.2
- Upgrade to TinyMCE 3.5.7
- User profile improvements
- Added option to activateoptimization on / off of files JS e CSS.
